We were thrilled that one of our trustees, Rev'd Ellie Trimble, won a Global Unsung Hero competition and was invited to attend the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant at Buckingham Palace.
Ellie was nominated for this award for her work in the local community, but particularly for her work as a vital part of our Social Super Market project.
Ellie kindly invited our Food Response Project Worker, Lucy, to join her on the day.
Lucy and Ellie thoroughly enjoyed their trip down to London and were very honoured to be recognised for their work, and for the chance to represent Greater Together Manchester at such a historical event.
And as you can see, Ellie very much got into the spirit of the occasion.
