Our Lifeskills participants recently enjoyed a wonderful day out at RHS Bridgewater, taking the opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday life and spend time together in one of Greater Manchester's most beautiful green spaces.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather, with glorious sunshine making the gardens look even more spectacular. From colourful flower borders and peaceful woodland walks to tranquil lakes and beautifully designed landscapes, there was plenty to explore and enjoy. The visit gave everyone the chance to slow down, relax and appreciate the beauty of nature.

At Greater Together Manchester, we know that wellbeing isn't just about having practical support. Spending time outdoors, building positive relationships and taking part in enjoyable activities all play an important role in helping people improve their mental health, reduce isolation and build confidence. Days like this create opportunities for conversation, laughter and shared experiences that can have a lasting impact.

Many of the people who take part in our Lifeskills programme have experienced significant challenges, including homelessness, social isolation or navigating the asylum system. Having the opportunity to visit places like RHS Bridgewater helps create moments of hope and normality, while encouraging people to connect with others and with the natural world around them.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at RHS Garden Bridgewater for supporting our visit and making us feel so welcome. Our participants got so much pleasure from spending the day in such a peaceful and inspiring environment, and we're incredibly grateful for your generosity.

We look forward to returning again in the future for another day of fresh air, friendship and flourishing together.
