The Cantibus Choral Ensemble put on a fundraising concert to raise money for our night shelter - the grand total raised was over £1,900!
Hosted in the stunning St Elisabeth's Church in Reddish, the concert, directed by David Evans, featured some amazing choral music including:
HANDEL: Zadok the Priest
RACHMANINOV: Bogoroditsye Devo
HANDEL: Hallelujah Chorus
FAURÉ: Cantique de Jean Racine
PARRY: I was Glad
FAURÉ: Requiem Mass in D minor, Op 48
The fantastic soloists included:
Mezzo Soprano: Joanna Brown
Soprano: Elaine Evans
Baritone: Dmitry Yumashev
Organ: Ian Chesworth
This money will go towards providing safe shelter and warm food to those in Manchester who would have otherwise been sleeping on the streets during the coldest months of the year.
Thank you Cantibus, and thank you everyone who came along and supported this event.
